Backups running slow on server

    Hi mate, I have no idea how I would check this ? didn't setup this backup, can I check in backup exec ?

    Yeah, its in the settings of the backup job. It should be 'hardware otherwise software'.

    Its set to, Compression Type "Hardware(if available, otherwise none)"

    Would it make a difference changing it to hardware if available otherwise software ??

    Shouldn’t cause any harm mate, perhaps change it for the Monday backup as a test?

    Yeah worth a try mate, thankyou :biggrin

    Well infrastructure team are supposed to be defragging the drives tomorrow, so I will find out exactly what they did and whether it has fixed the issue next week.
