    Hey All,

    I have worked in IT for 7 years where I had a successful career.

    I took a little over 3 years off to do other ventures in my life and I am wanting to make my come back.

    Any advice and tips

    Firsly welcome back to Certforums Aushus, always good to see a familiar user name pop up.

    You know what my advice is going to be don't you.... Get back into your IT certification! It gives you a framework to learn, what you should know, an exam if you choose to put yourself under pressure and show you've got relevant up to date skills. You don't have to sit the exams if you don't want, if you can talk the talk in an interview, experience will always be king. I think it looks good if you've invested time and money into what you know tho. Makes you a safer bet for an employer.

    I think you'd said Sys admin? Possibly some Microsoft or VMware certification might dust off some cobwebs and stand you in good stead when applying for roles. I'd be tempted to go contracting if I were you. Even a low end contract will get you back into the swing of things and get the CV back on track

    Hahaha yeah.

    I am actually labbing hard

    Day in and day out and i am re trainning myself.

    I forgot alot about powershell which is an area i will focus heavily on as well as automation.

    I am honestly feeling very good !!!

    Its like i never left !!!

    I will let you guys know how it goes
