    Hi

I am 28 and would like to get into IT.

I got a BTEC Diploma in Computer Studies whilst at college, but never did anything further.

I found this forum whilst searching for information on IT courses. After reading various posts, I have decided to try for my A+ Certification via the self study route.

So you will see me lurking around the A+ forum!

    David.

I guess it depends on the person you are - i know when I did my A+ it was far simpler just getting down to what was important for the exam - most of the stuff in there you never use. its just a few letters to get your foot through the employment door. Im a strong believer in bootcamps personally they have really worked for me.

Its a slightly higher financial commitment - but I believe it gives you more of a drive.

I've seen far too many bootcamps use "unauthorized study materials"... meaning, braindumps. I avoid endorsing any unless I know the instructor personally.

EDIT: ...and now that I know your personal opinion of braindumps, I feel quite justified in my disdain of bootcamps. :x
