What programming language(s) are you doing with your HND? How much experience do you have programming?

If you have no real world experience with programming, then:

For the Microsoft route, consider one (some or all) of the following:

    Exam 98-361: Software Development Fundamentals
    Exam 98-362: Windows Development Fundamentals
    Exam 98-363: Web Development Fundamentals

For the Java route, consider the following:

    Sun Certified Java Associate (SCJA)

As for which route to choose, that's up to you and what you want to do.

Certifications: CITP, PGDip, BSc, HNC, LCGI, PTLLS, MCT, MCITP, MCTS, MCSE, MCSA:M, MCSA, MCDST, MCP, MTA, MCAS, MOS (Master), A+, N+, S+, ACA, VCA, etc... & 2nd Degree Black Belt
    WIP: MSc in Tech Management
