Well I never thought it would happen but we've finally been given our Ready for Service date for ADSL in the village, in June. I can't wait :cheeseyg

Cheers guys, to be honest Gav I haven't given the router much thought, it has taken me by surprise. I thought it would probably be another couple of years yet, if ever. It was only the back end of last year when we had no trigger level and BT were saying it wasn't viable, which was frustrating because I knew of smaller places that were either enabled or due to be enabled. So all recommendations on make and model of ADSL router would be welcome :)

Just a quick suggestion, Phil - I know the Binatone ADSL 500 USB modem that we can provide for customers is a solid wee entry-level box, with min config, although not a router.

Some of the guys at work swear by Netgear kit for routers.

I am quite content with my current 56k PCI modem, thank you very much :noway

I use the US Robotics 9003 and the only problem I've had is the one the other day. It can be a little complicated when configuring port forwarding but once you've got it sussed its a piece of cake.
