    Hi all,

I have a new Windows 2003 Server set up in my home, with 2 PC's connected to it so far. I am having a problem with permissions tho by the looks of things and cant for the life of me think straight.

Heres the set up, I have a user Joe.Bloggs, he is a standard user that is in one group called Domain Users.

When Joe.Bloggs logs on to the system, it is supposed to pull his profile from \\server\Profiles$\Joe.Bloggs and also map H: to \\server\Home_Drives$\Joe.Bloggs.

When I have logged Joe.Bloggs in and double click on the H: drive, it will allow Joe Bloggs to look in there, but not create anything in there.

On the actual shares, Joe.Bloggs has Full control, I thought thats all that he needed to become fully functional, but obviously I am missing something.

Can anyone see what is wrong with my configuration?

if that full control on the share AND NTFS permissions? both need to be full control for it to be full control because its the total permissions from both that determine the permission Joe bloggs has...

here some links for you to read more on it:
