Ok i was going to start with mcdst but with some nudging from the regulars on here have been persuaded to go the a+ then n+ then mcdst. And after some searching on this forum found it to be the case, Question is shall i go self study (popular) or enrol in college (down the road wait till sept to enrol) i must say i favour the college route as i like the idea of a tutor to be available if any questions arise. I would like to know the opinions of fellow members. And although i have no experience whatsoever with the ins and outs of a pc i would like to know that i could try and figure out if my pc went tits up (instead of relying on a few friends)

    Thanks....

That's what this forum is for. And to be painfully obvious, we're a lot cheaper than a tutor. :)

If you think you're giving up the knowledge of a tutor for a buncha "nobodies" on a forum, know that several of us here write the training materials used by tutors, and several others of us here actually ARE tutors.

Like BM said This is what CF is for to discuss certfications and help each other.

Now you can spend a few hundred quid or even a few thousand on a course or you can ask on here for free for any help or give me £50 and I'll help out of CF hours :)

good ask a way this is what we like :D

If you want a course then look at your local college stay away from training companies like skillstrain and computeach.

But I promise you if you get an old pc from a recycling centre or of ebay, compTIA A+ all in one exam guide 6th edition by Mike Meyers and PC Technician street smarts by James Pyles you wont need a college course.

And if you do get stuck, ask on here :D

    Good luck.
