70-680, server setup help

I am setting up a vm of server 2008 r2 as part of my 70-680 studies, however I am running in to difficulties as the clients are not seeing the server.

Server VM:
IP - 192.168.10.10
Sub - 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway - 192.168.10.10
Primary DNS - 192.168.10.10

Each time the server restarts, the dns changes back to 127.0.0.1 by default and the default gateway clears.

None of the clients can see the server, although they are getting DHCP IP's assigned to them as I have setup DHCP role on the server successfully.

Can anyone point out where I am going wrong, or just offer me some IPs that I should put in as defaults instead

fixed it... I changed the default gateway to 192.168.10.9, I then opened up the DNS to check it was holding it's own and it did this time around.

Happy Days, well apart from that I now need to carry on with the 70-680 but as it's my week off work I may just go out for a drive or on my bike first
