man i'm studying for 270, it seems so intense, my brain circuitry is overheating wonder wot 290 and 291 r like if 270 is like this!!!

I think the general consensus is that the MCSA exams get harder as you go along. The 270 is easier than the 290 which in turn is easier than the 291.... etc but I have to admit, I found the 290 slightly easier than the 270. I think because alot of the material you learn for the 270 does help you while learning for the 290, so once you've learnt it, theres no going back.

 

a bit of a relief to know that 290 might be a bit easy...but still 270 seems quite tough, i wonder wot kind of questions come in the exam, after every chapter in MS Press i'm encountering questions that very much look like troubleshooting or if not that they seem quite big and detailed! i guess this is quite different to A+ OS, will definitely need a lot more attention

 

MCP's in my opinion are definately more advanced and more difficult than the entry level A+ and N+. The MCP questions seem to expect you to have a more in depth knowledge of the subject.

I wouldn't say the 290 is easy, far from it, you still need to know the subject inside and out. But... what you learn in the 270 goes a long way to help you understand the 290.

 

If the brain is overheating with 270 take a step back and look at 271 and 272 first... they will serve a better introduction to Windows XP and MS exams... be prepared to encounter questions in the exams which werent in your study guides thats because you are supposed to have x months of experience before taking these exams... what i did to make it up was read reference books and spend time on the MS KB and Technet for Windows XP...
