    Hi all.

I passed the 70-290 exam couple of years back, but my employer looking to get me certificated in W2K8. What order do you recommend I do the exams? Is it as obvious as 70-640 followed by 70-642 and then 70-0646??

    Many Thanks

Do they want you to get an MCTS in Server2008, or an MCITP (Server/Enterprise Admin) in Server 2008?

    Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS):

MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
You work with Active Directory and Directory Services, Active Directory server roles, certificate management, and Group Policy.
Exam 70-640: TS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring

MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration
You work with IP addressing and services, names resolution, file and print services, network access and remote access, and monitoring network services.
Exam 70-642: TS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring

MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration
You work with Windows deployment services, terminal services, Web services, and media services.
Exam 70-643: TS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure, Configuring

MCITP: Server Administrator - Exam Order:

[1] :: Exam 70-640: TS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring
[2] :: Exam 70-642: TS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring

Then you have 3 options above - I'd go with the AD Configuration

    Hey Jeff

I've done them in a bit of an unusual order

    TS Vista
    TS Active Directory
    TS Applications Infrastructure
    TS Windows 7
    Pro Server Administrator
    Pro Enterprise Administrator

Just got the Network Infrastructure one to do and I'll get MCITP SA/EA at the same time. I got the most out of the AD/Win7 and Enterprise Administrator exams. Felt the others didn't teach me anything the others did not know or were not covered in the other exams/day to day work.

    Good luck!
