YDL 6.1 & Wifi

Well I installed Yellow Dog Linux 6.1 on my PS3 again this weekend and have been trying like mad to get it to pickup my wifi, but unfortunately the PS3 just does not want to play nice. Any one else had any luck? I've tried a few different fixes with minor success even if I make the connection unsecured it barely connects and is slow as molasses. At this point I'm just going to hook my tablet PC up to the tv with VGA and surf the net on there instead of on the PS3. I'm fairly disappointed.

Ive never had much look with wifi and linux, ubuntu seems the best for wifi out of the distros ive tried.
