I really really hope RATM gets number 1. X Factor is absolutely awful.

    I hate people.
    They're like sheep.

For everyone who buys RATM, there will be a handful of vegetables who will buy X Factor.
Not even because they like the song.
They probably think that becasue they voted for him they are in some way responsible for his success and their CD single will represent some sort of stock option.

I'm going to make a stand and buy neither.
That way, NO ONE can get to number 1.

    Ha!

Truth will out now, that's for sure.

Mind you, I don't think I've kept it a secret that I hate everyone and everything.
Maybe people just appreciate my honesty? :biggrin

That's because Scousers don't ever BUY anything! They st..... well, you get the idea. :D

I think it's fantastic that something which is pretty much an internet phenomenon is effecting things so visually. Just goes to show how powerful the interwebs could be if we all decided to donate 79p to Cancer Research instead of RATM......

I must admit, I re-bought the RATM single again, for 2 reasons really:

    1) I see the campaign as a chance to show how many people dislike the x-factor and that there is just as large a market for original music of the non-pop variety. If it gets to number one, that crowd will have demonstrated that they can be represented in charts by a non-cookie-cutter artist. REal genuine support for a respected artist can have just as hugh numbers.

    2) The RATM proceeds are being donated to charity, not sure about SC, probably all goes to himself, with a crumb or two to the latest puppet school graduate.

Would be very cool to see people power overcome sheeple™ power.

Surely buying rage because facebook told you to kind of goes against the whole anti sheep theory and the lyrics of the song (F**k you I won't do what you tell me) and is actually more guilty of sheep behaviour than buying the x factor single by your own free will.

Personally I don't care who gets top of the charts but would prefer to see it go to Joe because of the RATM campaign, I don't think the Joe single is the best song in the world in true x factor style, but I do think its better than the RATM track which I dont rate at all. I'm not adverse to heavier music but think the RATM track is dull and lacks an edge, as does Joe's song but of the 2 I prefer Joe's.

Quoted for truth. This song was absolutely amazing when it came out. Couldn't care less nowadays (about RATM and X-Factor)

I have to say, though, I turn the volume up when I hear RATM on the radio. And back down when Joe climbs.
