    Hi,
Not sure which forum this should go in if any. I would like to audit our 2000/2003 servers NTFS permissions and have managed this using dumpsec before. Has anyone used other methods to do this thru AD or on non domain standalone servers? I would like to save the output in a readable format for ease of reading and dumpsec is not that clear, or so my MD tells me!:blink

    Thanx

    some sysinternals tools might help
    http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/fileanddiskutilities.mspx

have a look at the top two, one is cli based, easy to script and output into text
the other is graphical and output can be saved!
