Hi Guy's thought I might as well post this (did a quick search and couldn't find it here already).

Would you qualify to enter the UK or Canada?

Wow, I fail the UK one by 15 points - the biggest factor was my age at 30. Glad I was born in the EU :)

Did get the required points for Canada, well got a whole 3 extra point above the minimum and that with my wife also (not sure if having a wife/partner affects the score).

Well i failed the UK one only got 5 pts, tahnks god i am English born and bred here! Wouldnt get in based on those scores.

And failed the Canadian one by 6pts propably due to not knowing French or having relatives in Canada. Not that i'm planniong to live there anyway.

I did notice that the Canadian one asked more questions and seemed more relevant for someone planning to work and liev there. The UK one just makes it look easy to get in here so long as you earn enough!

Could get into Canada (which I would really like to do actually) but the UK would tell me to clear off. Which is funny as we really don't seem to be choosy at all when it comes to immigration policy.

The normal criteria seems to be .... Q: Would you like to come here and qualify for state benefits ... A:Yes please ... Ok you'll do! :)

    I failed both, which whomps.

But I consider my long term future to be in neither country specified. So that's okay then  :biggrin

Missed getting into the UK by 5 points and missed Canada by one point (I think my age is a factor). My scores were as high as they were primarily because I have three university degrees (go figure).

Yes, Canada... No, UK. Looks like my age is a factor, so unless I make a whole lot more money, I can't emigrate there.

Points tests are normally just a rough indicator, if you have enough money, connections, job offer, etc you could still get in.
