    Hi
I am after a bit of advice here. I am wondering if it is even worth me buying study guides etc until the A+ exam is updated (which I believe is happening around Q3 2009 - could be as soon as July)

I have been working in IT for 12 years and thought I'ld better get some acreditation in these rocky times (job cuts etc) to give myself an edge.

    What you guys reckon?

If you're sure that the A+ is the right cert for you I'd dig in and get it done asap.

if you have been IT for 12 years you could probably have both exams done by the end of the month. It all depends on you to be honest, if you put the work in you'll get it done.

The A+ is for life so it doesn't matter if someone got it 10 years ago or gets it now as it doesn't need to be retaken.

Don't worry too much, July is the earliest and they normally have a 2-3 month overlap where they offer both.
