For some reason, a users machine has started to print an A4 document (only on one printer) in sections that look like a *H* grid. Cannot see any settings within word that have been changed or causing this. The Print preview also displays the page as it should print.

Re-installed the said printer but it made no difference.

what happens when you print from notepad? same thing? Might help to show if its the printer or the application thats causing the problem. Also you could try and logon the same pc with a different user account and see if you get the same problem. 8)

It could be a currupt file in the print spooler folder.

Stop the spooler service and delete any files with *.spl or *.shd extensions in the c:\windows\system32\spool\printers folder. Then re-start the service.

Thanks for the input guys :thumbleft. Logged on this morning as myself and all ok. Logged in as the user and for some reason the print setup options were *wedged on* mutiple prints per A4 page. :blink
A few restarts and i was able to select the *normal* page print i.e one print per A4 page. :)

    Thanks again

    Si
