WINNT OR SETUP.EXE for clean isntallations ?

Is there a difference between these two programs. Could you give me an example of when to use each.
I know from the Mike Meyers book that you use WINNT for an upgrade installation from a 16bit command prompt. (for example a startup disk from windows 9x. Is there ever a reason to use the Setup.exe program in NT,2000,XP.


I am preparing for 2003 A+ Operating System Exams and I am filling the Comptia A+ OS Objectives and I need to fill
this section.

You use Setup when clean installing the OS usualy. Although these days most OS CDs are self-booting.

setup.exe is used to bring up a menu from the xp disk, from the menu you get a choice of different things you can do such as the files and settings transfer wizard, compatibility tests and of course, install windows xp.

winnt32.exe is used to install XP from inside the OS environment from win 95 and up and winnt.exe is used from a dos environment or windows OS pre 95.

 

If you don't sit these exams in the next couple of weeks I'm going to set my badger on you.
