    Hi all, new guy here.

My first post is rather typical and boring but here goes:

I have a fair bit of experience with pc's and have built and repaired many of the years, I would really enjoy a job where I was involved in installations, networks and even routing all the cables.

Where would I start to qualify for this ?
Is the ECDL anygood to me ?

I really cannot see myself as a data cruncher but maybe suitable for phone support etc.

    Look forward to your replies.

    Mick

Well I thought I would try the demo exams on transcenders and was stumped by some of the questions on 271 and 272 !
So it appears that I may be starting at the bottom of the ladder and am wondering if you guys think I should study for the A+ with the Mike Meyers book as my first step ?

Any comments on the ECDL ? Is it literally worthless ?

    Many thanks,

    Mick (u.k.)

    Hi again,

I have ordered Mike meyers comptia a+ 6th edition and am going to study the whole book front to back.

Had a long chat with computeach, very friendly and helpful but im not sure im willing to part with £1300 yet.

Will let you know how I get on and no doubt ask a few questions along the way.

    Thanks
