Hello,

I'm wayne, 40 from portsmouth.

I am trying to find a way into the it industry. With no previous computer experience i am looking to take some certifications (i.e A+) to help me get my foot in the door. Years ago i did a Btec in computer studies and C programming courses but without using this in a job i have forgotten most of this. Any tips and advice would be most welcome.

Welcome to CF, I am currently doing my A+ also (taking me longer than expected due to work). The book which I am using at the moment is: CompTIA A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, Seventh Edition Exams 220-701 & 220-702: Amazon.co.uk: Michael Meyers: Books which most people use.

I also use the professormessor videos which are very helpful: Professor Messer, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Nework+, Microsoft Certification Training.
