I found that a bit odd too, it seems to have a few core chapters in the middle and a bunch of hardware chapters on either side. I suppose the thing is, some chapters will cover core and hardware subjects. I'd start at all the chapters on Windows in the middle and take it from there.

The exams are somewhat mixed as well. I had OS questions in core and hardware questions in OS.

I agree that MM doesn't separate the exams in the book, and this annoyed me when I first started reading it. After the exams I realized that the mix was probably intentional!

I did a semi-reread before each exam. Some chapters clearly belong to one side or the other, but I wouldn't rely on CompTIA sticking to the exact split!

I'd get the latest core objectives from CompTIA and go through them, all of them, using your book and other sources as reference.

    Me too.

    Yep.

I only went through the book once and then relied almost entirely on my notes afterwards. I did go back to the book for the odd thing, but nothing significant.
