    Just wanted to know... :)

What was your first Microsoft certification? Not your first IT Professional cert.

Mine was the 70-210: Windows 2000.

However this wasn't the first exam that I studied for, the first MS exam that I tried to study for was: Exam 70-064, Implementing and Supporting Windows 95 but didn't make it to the exam stage as half way thru I stopped and started my HNC.

But the first Microsoft exam that I heard about was the one for Windows 3.1, when I was just getting interested in IT and all I can remember me thinking was, why? :hhhmmm

You guys are making me feel young again :biggrin 70-270 XP config, install etc. A fun first exam which I passed with 700! I was lucky to get an MCP card and paper cert not long before MS wanted to reduce its carbon footprint :dry

Ditto - I feel like a teenager again :biggrin

70-290: Managing and Maintaining A Windows Server 2003 Environment here was my first MS Cert.

Technically just prior to that I gained the Lancaster University Certificate in Microsoft Technologies (coursework testing of 70-290,70-291,70-293,70-294, not an MS approved thing but recognised by the education department for use towards a foundation degree (already held my Manchester Uni one so it wasn't as useful for me as for others there).

Company I worked for needed the MCP for Partner status, I studied the rest of the MCSE core courses @ ICTFocus @ Lancs Uni, good deal on all four courses at the time, but only got around to taking the first exam, now sorting out the rest as I realise the mistake.

70-271 was my first exam, up until the beginning of 2009 when i started to take certs seriously, i actually thought that the only Microsoft certs were MCSA and MCSE...

I was reading a survey the other day about pirated OS' and it was something like 43% of all those that voted said they had got theirs from torrents, bought a technet license off someone or some other illegal method.
