    Hi there,
This is my first post; i would appreciate some advise please.

I recently completed my A+ and N+ exams with Skills Train, i work in a small company of 45 users as the only IT technician.
I give all 1st 2nd and 3rd line support and I administer the SBS 2003 Server. I have been doing this for 4 years. I would like to move on because I believe I have fulfilled all my aspiration at this place and the pays not good.
I'm not sure what to do IT help desk or Network Administration. I have been applying for IT help desk jobs without any luck.... I feel I should be applying for Network admin jobs but I’m not qualified or not confident because I work in a small company.
I have always planned to do MSCA/MCSE. Now I’m thinking I should do MCDST first so I can move on and do IT helpdesk in a large firm and move ahead from there.

    Any advice would helpful thanks.
    Imran

Welcome to Cert Forums. I think its a wise move to aim for your MCDST first, and "I think" its an elective for the MCSA, just not the MCSE. So you are still on your way to your targets :D

I'd say only go for 1st Line Service Desk roles to boost your experience and get your foot in the door of a big firm (Hopefully!). You can always move on into Networking if you demonstrate the aptitude.

    Good luck,
    Jim

MCSA might be OK, but I'd hold off on the MCSE just yet. That said, I would agree that the MCDST might be a better option. Start with it, and see how you feel about the MCSA afterwards. :)
