What makes a good MCDST? a person who knows the answers to the problem or a person who knows where to find the answers to problems? :D

Both? I think one should have a good base knowledge on how to fix problems but also know where to look if something pops up that they're not sure how to deal with.

It is good to be assertive or at least be willing to research a problem to find a solution and this can play out not just in the field of IT but in all areas of life. I'd say yep! both is needed:)

A personal who solves problems quickly with minimum disruption to the user. Whether you knew the answer in advance or had to Google it is irrelevant. Besides, as time passes, the more problems you solve, the more you know, and the less you lean on Google.
