Change names to protect the innocent if you must, and please no company bashing, I don't want any letters from any legal departments!

The worse job I've ever had was as something called a fixer. No not an international assassin. I had to fix steel beams with metal twine to create a steel structure that would have concrete poured on it to reinforce the concrete. Nothing wrong with it at all just not for me plus you never knew where you'd work. I lasted two weeks and realised it wasn't for me.

Prob my first helpdesk job.. was a nightmare, was like doing time. I never want to work as support staff in a big call centre again, treated like cattle and you are easily replaceable, everyday was a battle, some people even fell into depression some didnt last a week.. duno how I held it down for nearly two years.

My first job at 15, was bagging groceries at a local grocery store... Did that for the summer to build myself this custom rig to play Unreal Tournament... was worth it! :)

I used to work in fibreglass, which basically was really bad for you, you stank of chemicals and there was a lot of dust in the air.

Long story short, I was moaning to a bloke one day saying, i hate this job its crap etc, he replied, well do something about it then. Which I did and thats why I am here today

Cargo administrative asst. Actually, the job is just fine. But it became worse due to the company owner. She had this attitude of not trusting her people.

    Luxury!

Many years ago I used to work on music festivals doing various things - one time we would be putting toilet rolls into portaloos for two full days. They stank so bad that some people in the queue were puking.

Bad, poorly paid jobs are good for you I believe. You realize it makes sense to learn stuff and get some skills... You also realize they need to be done by someone and you *should* earn some respect for those doing them (optional).

It's really cool that you were a part of it tho. I used to love Blockbuster. We occasionally use it as an example of companies not being quick enough to adapt to change in our presentations. Crazy to think that they could have bought Netflix back in the day, it could of all been so different. I find it fascinating that there are still a handful of stores operated in the US here

I've just googled them and found a pretty funny article about their twitter account :emoji_laughing:

Their Twitter account is pure genius. Someone has missed their calling in life there!
