I'm going to be doing a compTIA A+ soon, and i've been looking at getting a system so i can do my training on. I've been scouring the internet and found a couple of sites where i can get bits from, what do you think of this system for the price (a lot of people say buy a cheap one for £40-£50, but i hate god damn slow computers):

    Intel Celeron D 2.93GHz 341 Socket-775 CPU
Asus P5SD2-VM Motherboard LGA775 SSs672 mATX (SiS Mirage 3) RAID LAN SATA
    160gb hdd
    1gb ram (2 x 512mb).
    650w psu
    dvdrw

All in all the system would cost about £120. What do you think, it's only to do my training on but others who live in my house can use it aswell. I'm not going to get a graphics card as i've got a spare one knocking about my house somewhere.

I got a p4 2GHz running the bare minimum for xp and a switch so I could have two pc on the same monitor for £50 from a computer fair.

Have a look for computer fairs and at your local recycling centre before you buy anything.

I'd avoid Celerons like the plague. A low-end Core 2 Duo is really not that expensive.
