Just wondered what kind of wheels my fellow cert hunters and IT Pro's are rocking these days? It's been a while (I think!) since we've had a good old car discussion so get a beer and lets have at it!

Currently due to my plans to never be rich (2 kids), I'm driving a Ford Kuga. I can't lie, I really like it, 160 to tax and brilliant on diesel being 6 gears. That said I'm approaching MLC and any day now will be purchasing a 3 litre Z4 as I miss having a performance car, not that I drive fast at all :S Theory being the Mrs can run the kids around in the other car while I pretend I'm young and have still got it, what ever 'it' is 8)

    How about you?

Vauxhall Corsa, 03 plate ... does me amazingly. Cheap to run, nice to drive. I use the pool cars at work which are VW Golfs and that) and i much prefer my little Corsa. I drove a new one when mine was being panel beaten (woman at a traffic lights, ran into the back of me, 3rd time it has happened to that car) and I don't like the new model. Doesn't seem to have the same oomph.

My ideal car though, all things considered is the Elise.

I'm Jeckyll and Hyde when it comes to cars. I love fast cars but also love it when they are great on fuel and cheap to tax.

Sparky what's the 0-60 on that bad boy? Do you use it every day? Absolute beast of a car I love them.

I just bought a Mitsubishi RVR 2012 less than a year ago. 0% Interest on a 5 year loan, low on gas, all wheel drive, great for the winters in Canada ;). I really like it although it's definitely not a performance car. I think for my next one, I'll be going with either a BMW 335Xi, G37, 350Z, or WRX... going to be a tough choice!

depending on the time of year (and the weather), either a 2011 Ford Explorer (put 30k on it in < 24 months) or a 2007 BMW R1200 GS (put 3k on it this summer alone)

ha ha the only reason I asked is because I KNEW you would have ha ha, beautiful car mate, proper mans car.

    - - - Updated - - -

Not heard of those mate, just looked it up, very nice. I'm a fan of the cross overs, my Kuga is a cross over I think. Means I get a 4x4 type car with the running costs of a normal car. I love 0% deals, the only trouble is I'd be tempted to spend all the more because I'd saved on the finance ha ha

    - - - Updated - - -

Wowzer one extreme to the other there mate I like it. I've always liked the Ford Explorer, cracking 4x4. I wish I had the motor skills to get a bike. In my mind I can do anything but in reality I crashed a 50cc scooter in Cyprus and thought, yeah, not for me ha ha

I've got an 04 Vectra, not really that bothered by cars so tend to run them until theres nothing left of them. Changed out the stereo recently for an mp3 player so that was the only annoyance of my car gone (cd's are so retro).

If I had to buy another car today I'd probably go for a volvo or a passat (see, I'm Mr thrill seaker when it comes to cars).

I've got a 55 reg Ford Focus 2.0 TDCi Ghia, not bad spec of a car considering I'm a family man :)

I'm considering the new Ford Focus 2.0 TDCI Titanium in a few years time as my replacement, but that is a good few years away... :(

Got rid of my car when I took a job 400 metres from home!
On the plus side I'm now about £200 a month better off for beer money and pass the pub onthe way home.

I get to drive our other car (Quashqai) on Sundays when the wife has a hangover!

Ah mate you can't do that! 400 meters away to my mind means a Maserati with 10mpg is now an option! ha ha

I keep changing my mind as I only do one trip to work a week, but that's 150 miles each way.

So I did the sensible thing for the summer and bought an S2000 for it, but thinking I might get something else soon for various reasons.

Yeah it's a nice car, liking it more than I thought I would really. Been out in it today with the roof down :)

The plan was to keep it for a few months until I'd thought about what to do then sell it and get something bit more 'sensible', but we may end up keeping it and selling the wife's car instead.

Around 4.1 seconds – the super charger is awesome.

It’s my daily drive just now but I am wanting to get an old car to drive over Xmas so I can garage the Lotus, looking at an old hot hatch (bit of a wreak basically!) and doing it up.
