Curious to see what everyone else is on, and if you're on fibre or DSL still.

At present i have 100mbps fibre from Virgin, for me - it's overkill, i rarely utilize the full speed of it, but it's part of my TV and phone package and part of the price. And i have to say - Virgin have been absolutely solid for the past 5 years I've had them as an ISP.

Currently on 8Mbs at home, the village near me has just been upgraded to fibre so I'm hoping the BT men come to our cabinet soon. TBH its not the download speed thats the problem. I work from home most of the time and find uploading ISO's etc almost impossible.

Actually last month I sent a copy of our MDT share through the post to a colleague because it was quicker than uploading it to dropbox!

    20Mbps/10Mbps

I get the fibre connection through work so I have a routed range of IP addresses to use which is handy for lab work. Also got a small cisco switch so running a few VLANs for VOIP\wireless work. All good :)

    10/20 Mbps with BT

and they are absolutely rubbish, might go Virgin or Sky next. I've used Virgin in the past especially when it was NTL and have found them to alter speeds during certain hours, anyone also come across this ?

But generally speaking they were good whilst I was with them, going to BT has been a bad decision. At times I don't even use the home internet at times, my phone internet is better at times mostly :D

I haven't had any slow downs with Virgin Media in all the years I have been with them (nearly 9 years) but to be fair I pay for their top package so should'nt really get any throttling at that stage.

Whoop whoop after months of daily checks my cabinet has finally come online for fibre, still nowhere near as fast as most other people but I'm happy to take the average doubling of up and down speed!

I've just finished my relocation to the USA, and internet here is nuts.

I'm paying $55 a month - around 35-40 pounds (can't find pound sign on new american keyboard lol) for a 24mbps line.

Two blocks down from me ATT offer a 1gbps line for $110 a month, i'm just outside of this range unfortunately, but a 1gbps line!? thats insane.
