    Born 22/12/07 at 18:19 weighing a healthy 10lb 3oz.

    Finally after a long drawn out week and seeing what a shambles our NHS service really is our son was born. My wife was due to go into hospital on the 16th to start the induction of the pregnancy for the safety of both mum and baby. We went into hospital on the night of the 16th only to be turned away after 3 hours due to staff shortages. The same followed on the 17th turned away again due to staff shortages and the labour ward being closed, meaning any mums would have to travel to have their babies.
    This was the case all week upto friday 21st when they finally took us in.
    Whilst at the hospital yesterday we heard of 3 maternity units that where closed, and having to turn away expectant mums. Totally shocking service, my respect goes out to those that work and look after us in hospitals, just a shame the NHS is run by a bunch of prats.

    Anyway enough of the rant

    Our baby is due in May - so I hope the NHS Hospital here is up to the job!
