The one that you suggest Zimbo is very simillar to the USB one that I bought a while ago, it came with a 1.5 Meter aerial cable.

What I thought ellison was after was something to actually plug into a PCI slot.

One question for you Ellison, why are you getting MCE? you don't need it to watch the tv! 8)

these i think are alot better as they dont take up a slot... and can be use on a pc or laptop! they used (or still do) come in a PCI card i think.

Okay firstly Media Centre is really cool, I have been using it for about six months now and it suits me perfectly. We watch TV, DVD's, videos, picture slide shows and listen to music, all without touching the mouse or keyboard.

Some things to bear in mind as MC 2005 is flaky to say the least.

    1) You must buy a TV card that is compatible with Media Centre 2005 or it won't be recognised in MC

    2) You need a decent graphics card, on-board is unlikely to work properly

    3) A Gig of RAM if you intend to carry on doing other work on the PC whilst using MC

    4) Buy the remote control, it is affordable and cool 8)

    5) Buy a decent sound system with a sub woofer

    6) I would recommend a 19" widescreen LCD monitor for watching HDTV and DVDs

    7) You definitely need a decent outdoor aerial which can pick up dig TV signals

Then sit back and enjoy 8)

The Interface even puts a Mac to shame

Cheers for the replies guys, I fancied buying media center to make a change from the same old same old xp pro/home ed.

I have a decent enough graphics card, well if it wont play on £300's worth just a couple of months back, I would like a word with ATI :biggrin

only running a 17'' however, maybe an upgrade in a few months or so.

    Cheers
