VMware VCP 5-IaaS Announced

VMware recently announced that there will be a new VCP 5 exam, this one being aimed more at Cloud than internal infrastructure.
Called the VCP 5-IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) the exam is based around vSphere 5 and VCD 1.5.

That means there will be 3 different VCP 5 exams to book up so please be careful when booking up exams in the future.

When I pass the VCP 5 exam, I'd be interested in the VCP 5-IaaS...

 

You have to have both VCAP's before going for the VCDX anyway.

I would love to go for the VCAP but I do need some more hands on with the products first.

 

Like Simon, I'd also like to go for VCAP... but I need at least another year of experience before starting to look at it. For now I'd be happy with VCP5... but definitely going to do the VCAP down the road, just a matter of time.

If vSphere alone is your thing I'd go the VCAP-DCA or VCAP-DCD route, but if vCloud is where you are or where you want to be then VCP-IaaS is the path to follow, or of course all of them ;-)

 

I am pretty sure you can attain it jk... I have faith in you ;) the question is how badly do you want that role!

I really would like to get my VCP 5 knocked out, then I was interested in the VCAP-DCD5, however work are going to start a big push on View soon, so I it will more likely be VCP5-DT I think.

At least someone from CF needs to do it and blog about the experience, any volunteers?

 

Actually I've done a View deployment last year... was a fun project! I am interested in that as well, but it VCP5 first

 

Actually View is where I want to be more than Cloud.
