    Hi,

Just wondering if anyone can give me an idea of what im doing wrong. Ive set up a little network using vmware and have a donain controller and a client.

the client is an xp and DC is server 2003. I have allocated the DC ip address 192.168.0.3, default gateway is 192.168.0.2. DNS 192.168.0.3.

The Client receives ip config from DHCP and details are as follows.

    IP 192.168.0.5
    Default Gateway 192.168.0.2
    DNS 192.168.0.3

The client has no problem joining the domain and can ping the DC by IP and by name.

The DC cant ping the client by IP or by name, it sees the client in active directory.

Can anyone please give me an idea, of what i could be doing wrong.

    Thanks

    Jon

Sometimes we forget to check when its the main source of a problem.
