For me, I guess more about the entry level associate exam: VMware Certified Associate 4 - Desktop

Tips, study resources, lab set-up, etc... As this is the only VMWare exam (that I know of) that doesn't require you to attend the £2k course as a requirement :)

    Thanks :)

I think it's important for members to understand that VMware, the same as any hypervisor relies upon having strong networking, storage and server skills.

Without one of these you will bork any install.

So perhaps a quick overview on why they are important?

The price depends on who and how you want to take the course and a little bit of digging on VMware's site, you can find the course for as low as £500 ;)

I did my VCP for £1000 so there are deals to be had.

The DT 4 exam is definitely on my radar so will have material available soon.

Hi guys, for me I think I quite fancy a go at the vcp-dt exams I've got a couple of citrix ones to do first but vmware view should be pretty high on my radar too.

If you know anything about VMware View I'd like to hear it mate. I know nothing of the desktop offerings from VMware.

    Congrats on the promotion :)

How about idiots guide to what all the products/acronyms are. Must admit I could search online, but something to add to the forum I guess.

A good introductory thread with information and FAQ's for anyone new to VMware Certifications would be great, kind of breaking down the certs for simpler reading.
