    Hi again folks, ive got to do some stuff with visual basic . Im going to try and have it done for the weekend but ive messed up,i need to know anywhere online that can get me a decent visual basic book, the one i was mean to be given is called 'visual basic version 6 made simple', but now the college library is closed till monday. Does anyone know of any online e books that i can access to help me with this ??

    Also can someone put me right, im also doing a course on the internet and things called 'agents', which are also known as 'bots'

    does anyone know if these can be called logical operators as well

    Funnily enough im thinking of ther matrix here and the agent would be mr smith?? and the operator would be link??:oops:

    Spec,

    Not sure about an e-book, but this looks like a good site;

    In the Internet world Agents/bots are pieces of searching software that can hunt for info.

    I've never heard them called 'logical operators'. Seeing as how this question was included in one on VisiBasic I immediately assumed the phrase was the usual programming one for operators such as > < etc.

    No sorry Harry , its a different question. its from the first mod im doin called 'getting more from the internet'

    This is the first part of the question
    A) Discuss online how you would use logical operators in searches to gain the most relevant information. Then write an explanation, with the aid of examples, showing how you would use logical operators in searches to gain the most relevant information.

    as long as i know what logical operators are ill be able to plod on

    Ah - in this case they would be 'AND' and 'OR'. Not every search engine understands those exact words, and some have variations on them.
