I have a PC (several actually), a 360, a wii, and a DS. And I think I'll be added the ps3 to my collection for the sole reason that they seem to be the most recommended Blu-Ray player on the market at the moment.

I dont want to pay the best part of a grand for a PC just to play Crysis. Im fed up of MS having my Xbox more than I do due to hardware problems that should never have passed QC. The Wii is good for novelty value but is totally underpowered and the big N are running out of ideas fast. The PS3 is too expensive and suffering from a poor catalogue of games.

Buy whats best for you (or what you can tolerate for the longest until you have to get the others)!

I would pay a grand on a PC to play a game, but I would spend on a machine that you can throw anything at for a reasonable amount of time. Regarding the XBox360, maybe consider getting the newer ones with the cooler chipsets.

Running out if ideas? How so? The Wii was specifically designed to be fun more than aesthetic in term of graphics performance, and this is reflected in the gameplay as well.

Look at this Best of E3 Hardware. Nintendo is the only one to have both its Wii and DS nominated (although they didn't win). A lot of major games also have Wii ports like Call of Dudy, etc.

Agreed. Now the PS3 is the platform running out of ideas! :biggrin

i gave my pc a thousand dollar upgrade for games like crysis, bioshock and half life 2 episodes... and then found myself buying a second hand ps2 and not touching my pc for games in..hmm... the last 4-5 months or so. theres something ot be said for lying in bed and playing games before going to sleep. maybe its just the whole getting older and working full time thing but PC games are a lot of work!

That said, i'll probably be upgrading to quad core when Alan Wake finally comes out :)

I have a far better idea - why doesn't Microsoft GIVE me a newer one, rather than expecting me to spend another £250 for one that works!!! LOL!

FYI I own all four (apart from the PCs getting on a bit). I play on each one equally as much, but the summer games drought is really getting to me and I'd consider selling any one of them for a drum kit and a few beers :biggrin

    Heh, point taken! :biggrin

The 'summer games drought' is a regular annual pattern as we busy ourselves to get games out for the Christmas rush. :)
