The microsoft site is a bit confusing here http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/mcdst.aspx#tab3

Can I go from MCDST and take one Exam 70-682 to Upgrade to Windows 7 MCITP Enterprise Desktop Support Technician.

    or

    do I need:
    MCDST (Windows XP)
    MCTS: Windows Vista, Configuration
    MCITP: Enterprise Support

then take 70-682 to upgrade to MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Support Technician – Windows 7, thank you for any help.

    Hi Railside,

If you already have the MCDST then you can take the 70-682 to upgrade you qualification to Windows 7:EDST

See here - It states: "This exam is used to upgrade your MCDST XP or EDST Vista certifications to the EDST Windows 7 certification."

    Thanks,
    Crazy
