Hi there, have an anoying problem with Outlook 2007. Itermittenly it strugles to send even smallest size e-mail. Takes 5-10 mins to send one line of text. Or even better, send-recieve completed, but message still in Outbox. You can try send-recieve few times, same result. Any advice would be realy appreciated.

Do you experience problems sending with that account using another e-mail application?

Do you experience problems sending with another account (in same e-mail domain or in different e-mail domain) using Outlook?

    Installed SP1 yet?

Logged in as a different user on the same PC and tried sending an email?

    What AV is installed?

Tried on same system using Outlook Express, still very slow on sending.
Tried on different system with this acount installed temp, sending - OK.
Looks like something local on this system, internet browsing - OK
Using AVG, but i did disable it just in case, no change there.

So, I'm guessing that the same system with a different e-mail account would likely be slow. Compromised system, perhaps? Is there any other software-based firewall that the e-mail traffic's got to go through?

Just windows firewall runs on this machine, disabled it, still no joy.
Most puzzling thing about it, when running send/recieve, it shows as "done", but message stays in "outbox"???

    Uninstall Office

    Reboot

Reinstall Office with SP1 and the latest patches.

    Any joy?

Does the message title of the message in the outbox appear in italics? If not open it up and click on send again.

Sorry for a long delay, I don't have an access to that PC at the moment. When I get it I will try reinstalling Outlook and installing SP1. I will let you know if it helped. I did try to delete message and send new one. Still same result thou.

Are you connected via a VPN? I've seen this regularly with Outlook - changing the MTU settings to something a bit less spiteful will resolve it (if that's your problem!)
