Has anyone tried this? Ive just installed it on my laptop, and im impressed.:)

Setup was straightforward, definately the easiest so far. I like the new theme aswell (it's all black). Also worth mentioning that its the only distro i have tried so far, where i have been able to use my Cisco wireless card straight out the box, very impressed so far.

Only problem so far is the mouse control, can't work out how to disable the double tap function on my touchpad, but thats probably just me.:)

I haven't tried Ubuntu Studio, but I have tried UBuntu and wasn't impressed with. To be honest the only flavor of Linux that impressed me was Fedora Core 6 (and above).

look really nice the interface. I heard good things about ubuntu but I never played around with it my self. I always installed mandriva or fedora core in the past for school. I will download it though soon or later I am curious to see all the features and stuff.

Also managed to get the touchpad sorted, had to add an extra line to the xorg.conf file

i have used the standard ubuntu and found it excellent, there are some issues that need to be fixed but overall an amazing distribution. simplicity works.

this studio version is appealing, gotta give it a whirl soon!

I definately prefer this to standard ubuntu. What problems did you have with the standard version?
