    :D

As soon as I decide to go for a combined career with teaching and IT, I get an IT job interview. I know there's no guarantee, but it's SO strange. The second I stopped looking for a straight IT role, BANG! I get my first solid full time interview. :blink

Cheers again guys. It's just a very junior techy position, making the tea, polishing the MD's car kinda thing. :blink But we'll see. My missus is expecting our first child at the end of the year, (I forgot to mention that didn't I, did I? I can't remember, I'm so tired, my partner wakes me up at ALL sorts of hours to go and get her bizzarre food combinations!) so whatever decisions I make will be based on financial suitability too, hence why I thought "typical".

So, peeps, it appears that if you want your dream IT role to drop in your lap, STOP LOOKING! :biggrin

DAMN IT! You knew what I meant. :biggrin I can't concentrate. You know how selling a house is meant to be one of the most stressful things you can do? Try doing 3 MCP's, having a pregnant mrs, a job you hate that is MOST stressful in itself, looking after a 10 year old from partner's first marriage, doing a house up to sell, job hunting for IT, and then planning a holiday to NZ in April/May, all the while keeping one eye on going back to uni at the end of the year with a new sprog in toe.... *RANT OVER*..... *Draws breath*....  :)

Out of the Negative you must draw Positive.

When the new baby has you awake at 3 in the morning, turn it into study time

And yes i speak from personal experience :biggrin

Best of luck with all of that.
