Not sure why 'Missing Model' is crap TV. Would be interesting to see how they get on compared to 'regular models'. :)

meh it's all the same wether it regular people or people with no legs & ****. Good on the disabled people for trying but I thin the TV companies will more interested in taking the piss out them. Kind of like what happened on Big brother with the guy who had tourettes.

    The sympathy vote.

I actually think Britains missing model could be quite good. Why should people be disqualified from modelling just because they are missing an arm or a leg? (incidentally, some of those models look tasty). People watch reality tv. its a fact. If you want to push a message out to the masses, its the logical format to use. They could have done a documentary about it, but not as many people would watch it. Perhaps a show like this will make people reconsider their concepts of beauty.

Sure, big brother is sh*te, these days, but it was, in its first series, groundbreaking. And actually quite an interesting social experiment.

How to look good naked is another good one. Mainly for the fact that Gok pushes the concept of being happy with your body, and dressing to suit your body shape. Its not trying to push some idealised version of beauty onto women, or telling them that they have to eat nothing, or have plastic surgery, to look good.

Its shows like these that can actually push a decent message out to the world.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's good the disabled models are trying this but I think the TV company will play on the sympathy thing to make money for themselves.

so? thats what tv companies do. They dont put programs on tv because they are nice, they are doing it to make money. If they see a good idea with a chance of earning them ££, they will run with it. Its really about the only way to get things onto tv these days.

The point is the worth of the material itself. It promises to be a very interesting show, and hopefully will leave an impression on the public, and have them talking about it for months. If it achieves that, then great. whether it delivers on that promise though... who knows.

I don't watch a lot of football, I'd rather watch NFL as sport on TV goes and I do watch chat shows like Jeremy Kyle and Steve Wilkos, but all this reality crap does my head in.

Actually, this doesnt look like its going to be like BB or X-Factor. The format doesnt seem to permit public voting on the contestants. We can watch, but we cant decide who wins.

Not my kind of TV show, think I'll give it a miss. Ghost Whisperer is on Living at the same time, now that's much better :)
