Ryan, you need to add lmhosts entries on the W2k3 domain for the NT domain. I have a document round here somewhere which I'll see if I can dig out.

based on those articles i think a purge would of worked
the trusts worked fine yesturday, but i reinstalled the domain controllers to day to tidy a few things up, and they just wouldnt verify a trust anymore
could of been a cached issue on the nt4 domain (which is production, so little chance to mess with it)

and i just started to rebuild the DC again haha, with a diff netbios name, see if it fixes anything
if not ill use whats in those KBs mate

nope, domain rebuilt, different netbios name, same error
    heres the full error

The verification of the incoming trust failed with the following error(s):
The target system RICHMOND does not support NetLogon trust password verification.
A secure channel reset will be attempted.
The secure channel reset failed with error 1722: The RPC server is unavailable.

The outgoing trust has been verified. It is in place and active.

Have you resolved this issue yet Ryan? I know our instructor had problems during our migration MOC trying to get trusts to work in a classroom environment and he was a TCP/IP wiz
