    Hey all,

I took the 220-601 essentials exam today and passed with 757 - not a great score but a pass is a pass :biggrin

Just got the 220-602 to go now - im hoping the questions are not as obscure as they were in essentials because I honestly thought I had failed.

Just reading the score report - it says I have to wait 5 business days before logging into CompTIA so guess ill do that. I did the survey at the end of the exam but didn't close the window down (that lists the exam) so hoping nobody does anything to mess it up :blink

    :D

    Thanks all :)

I will give it about a month before doing the 602 just to brush up on the stuff I struggled with in that exam. How long do I have to take the 602 before the 601 invalidates?

The 601 will always show you have passed it. Not sure what happens when the current A+ is retired next year or whenever it is though.

If you have passed the 601 then you shouldn't really have to do much more studying to pass the 602 if any. I did both one after the other on the same day.

    Thanks greenbrucelee :)

Does that mean I theoretically have until start of next year to do the 602? im just worried that the 601 that I have just done will become invalid if I don't take the 602 by (and so will have to take both again) when the 2009 exams come out in August.

You could've just looked 6 posts down on this forum, although it's maybe better to get the information straight from the horses mouth.

No post specified the requirement (not even the one six posts down :p).

It's always better to contact the vendor directly anyway to be absolutely sure...

I would have said yes but you already found out. When you book you exam say next March you will see on the pearsonvue site that you can select various exams i.e 220-602 and then whatever the new exam number is.

Just pick the older version and you will be fine.
