Last few months have been crazy with work, wedding, house move, family...

...so, as the new financial year starts monday, I have booked next week as a well-earned week off (Boss approved it too - YAY!!) :biggrin

Have a couple of potential interviews, but I'm going to try to keep them to one day...and spend the rest of the time painting the house, messing with my PC (probably pop in here at some point just to rub it in) and doing

    SOD ALL

    Woooo!

    Laterz :tongue :beers2

Never mind about the industry changing. Just back from my week off and this afternoon everyone was told that the company has around 28 days left until it shuts down

It certainly answers a lot of questions (as to why there was so much pressure on everyone over the last few months!!)

Ah well at least I now get free time off for interviews now - had run out of excuses!! lol!

Poor management of a company tends to make businesses fail. Although I'm sad to hear that you'll soon be out of a job there, that's probably a positive step for your IT career (as well as your sanity)!

    *suspicious glance*

Are you sure you're married? Because every time I try to plan a non-productive day off, Mrs. NH steadfastly appears with a long list of things that need fixing/cleaning/building, etc.

Go after those jobs you really want first just don't take anything to get back in the field unless you absolutely have to.

Lol - well doing sod all involved painting the living room, the upstairs landing. Totally gutting the back garden (7 hrs worth of digging, chopping etc), weeding front, and putting loads of pictures up. So I guess it wasn't really sod all to many people - just find that type of thing relaxing as it's different!!

Mr Leehaa didn't get off lightly though - he's done loads of stuff in the evenings and weekends too...but he had a meals on the table and lots of cups of tea when needed - we operate an equal opportunities policy in our household!! :D
