Hello All,

I have just got back from an interview with the local council for an ICT Officer position, I think I did well in the interview but you just never know really. I did my best, and I think my interview techniques have improved a lot.
The job sounded good I would be really chuffed if I do get it. fingers crossed.
Now let the waiting game begins

They said a couple of days so that's the whole bank holiday plus a day of me thinking did I or did I not get it.

 

Well when you do start you new job, on your first day or first week post a thread on how it went.

I know I am being a bit optimistic here but life's too short and you have to be positive about things.

Hmmm Bank Holiday, nice long wekend ahead, just hope the weather stay snice for a BBQ.

As promised here is a little update.

After a week and a half of waiting, I have received "the nice but no thanks letter". I will be phoning the ICT manager to get some feedback to see where I went wrong so i can work on it.
In the meantime I am going to concentrate on my upgrade exams and get ready for my holiday then take it from there.

Keep trying... I applied to over 10 jobs, attended about 5 interviews and landed TWO jobs, and had to decide between the two... I start my new job on Monday (I am currently contracting so I'm finishing up here on Friday.)

 

Thanks ay5000, to be honest I am in a stable job already just trying to broaden my horizons and see what’s out there. I will keep an eye on the job market and apply for the ones that I think will benefit me .
