    Right,
iv got 10 mins to decide!
Passion of the Christ on at 10pm.
Went to pictures 2004 to see it and left halfway through, not a statement, it scared me! Felt like i was there. Fair play to Mel Gibson for making it so real. Am i a scaredy Kat?

They're talking about a movie called The Passion of the Christ. It's a somewhat controversial film detailing the last few days of the life of Jesus climaxing with a rather graphic depiction of the crucifixion. It was written and directed by Mel Gibson which raised a few eyebrows since Gibson's father follows an offshoot of the Roman Catholic church and has been known to make "unfortunate" statements about Jews.

Some months back, Gibson himself was pulled over for drunk driving in the Malibu, California area. When the officers confronted him, Gibson began spouting off a long string of anti-Jewish statements. Once Mel sobered up and realized that he was being raked over the coals in the media, he "apologized". The Jewish community accepted his apology but all this added to the decidedly "Catholic" flavor of the film (as far as I've heard anyway) makes me wonder.

Frankly, I'd rather see a film based on this book which I consider more Biblically accurate and which takes into account the Judaism of Jesus, his followers, and Israel. Of course, that's just my opinion.

Seemed to be easier to watch on tv, maybe the massive cinema screen made it scary. Its good, well made film.
