The ALT Tag

    I understand what it does and why. However, I can't seem to google an example of what it looks like, my book does not tell me nor is it showing me an example in DW . If you are using the alt tag, will it still give the little box with X in the middle of it with the text beside it? Or does the text itself replace that box?

    And how many of you actually use this tag with your imagines? It something that you do every time?

    Mitz, just hover your mouse over my avatar: This is an example of an alt tag. Simple as that realy. Its usefull for text browsers and browsers that render text to speech.

    GBL is correct. It is actualy an attribute of the img tag. This attribute MUST be included in xhtml if you want valid code.
