I would like to take this opportunity to thank the NHS (hospital & ambulance), the Police Service, the Fire Service and the kindness of strangers (one was a nurse, one was a deep sea rescuer, a couple who was there from the beinging, a nice lady who supplied water and the others - sorry I can't remember everyone).

On Sunday the 15th of July 2007 my pregnant wife and I were involved in a car accident on the M25 @ 12.45hrs near junction 30. A lorry hit us from behind and in turn we got stunted into a Ford Mondeo (another vehicle bigger than us, we had a Civic). Anyway the above people were excellent, arrived within minutes, were friendly, dealt with my wife and unborn child with great care and speed. Not to mentioned I was surprised by the kindness of strangers and the amount of people who helped.

So as this forum is world-wide, I would like to thank everyone who assisted us that day: "Thank you from all 3 of us". With everyday problems that people face, it's great to realise that there is still alot of kindness in this world we live in.

Battered and bruised, but we managed to walk away (after wife was checked up) from this. No broken bones. However I find myself keeping busy - hence the exam yesterday, I guess everyone has their own way of dealing with things.

    Thanks AJ

Glad your alright Ken, you & mrs.

Got to hand it to the Emergency Services for the job they do in the stressful environment they work in!!:rocks :thumbleft

I had an accident myself last Thursday and collapsed in Tesco's.
The ambulance was there within 5 minutes of the Tesco Staff phoning them!

I'm just off to Tesco now with a Thankyou card for the Staff.

I guess these day's everyone seems to be in a rush, but when you see someone staggering, and collapesing on the floor in the middle of Tesco you would of thought someone would of given some help. But most of the public avoided me, except one who nearly walked into me with her Trolley.

Anyway I don't want to steal this thread away from Ken but just to say thanks to the Emergency Services.:thumbleft

    Ken,

Sorry to hear about your accident although I am pleased to hear you are all safe and well.
There has been some bad publicity about the emergency services, but the bottom line is they do a grand job under immense pressure.

A friend of mine happens to have got a two year contract with the NHS and said they have spent a fortune on all new ambulances (all parts of the UK).

    Glad your all OK mate.

My best mate is a paramedic, so I know what it's like for them.

Last year, I was coming back from Alicante airport and an old guy had collapsed on the floor. He was laying face down, big pool of blood by his head, and people were just stepping over him to check in for their flights! As I'm aviation first aid trained (I'm currently working as cabin crew), I started doing CPR on him, then the airport paramedic came over after a few mins, and we were doing CPR for 40 mins until the ambulance service got there, and then their de-fib didn't even work! Makes you think just how good our emergency services are! Worst thing is that for a few weeks, everytime I shut my eyes, I saw that guys face :( I really don't know how they do their job!

Sorry i missed this thread Ken. Glad you're ok mate. That must have been one hell of a shock for you all. I have come very close myself on the M25, it truly is a *very* dangerous road. I have seen more horrendous accidents on that road than anywhere else in the 37 years i have been driving.

Hopefully all the bruises are healed now?

Glad you guys are ok, and the baby wasn't affected. There are still a lot of great people in the world, but most of us are just to busy to notice till we need to. I think this old world is moving to fast and us with it. It would be nice if we went back to having block parties or barn rasing and neighbors just came togather again for a couple days a few times a years. It keeps you involved with more then just what is going on in our own lives.

Wow, im glad your ok as well and its also good that you have taken the time to sing out the peoples praises who helped you. Some people only see the negatives in the emergency services and forget what they actually have to deal with on a day to day basis
