I keep on reading that you need a layer 3 switch ideally for CCNP, can you make do with two 2950's? The 3550 are seriously expensive! think my girlfriend would go mad if I got one of those!

hmm i never used a layer 3? couldnt you use a router on a stick and pretend it was a layer 3 switch? :P

 

yeap i've got a 2651

 

I got that ADSL wic to work in the 2621 thanks to your help and some swapping of memory with the 2611 and 2610, fortunatly two of them had 32mb dram sticks, think they now have 16mb each tops

 

cool great stuff can you post some sample configs? How much did you end up paying for the ADSL card?

 

dropped 150 on the card on ebay mate
configs a bit bare at the moment, will throw it up at some point though, im playing silly buggers with the access lists atm

 

any luck emailing that image for the 2950
