Has anyone used some software called swing migration?

Apparently it allows you to transfer all settings between two servers (i.e if your placing a new server in a business) without creating a new domain etc

Just wondered if anyone has any experience with something along these lines

    Cheers

Are you talking about 2003 to 2008?

    http://www.sbsmigration.com/

Technet has quite a lot of SBS 2008 info, however they recommend you practice this several times before trying a live system and also to make sure all of your backups are uptodate just to be safe incase you have to restore the original server.

SBS 2008 has a Migration wizard to migrate a live system

Very difficult to execute to be honest.

Are you currently migrating a SBS, if so how many users?

around 20 users, mostly on windows xp, running on sbs2003, basically the idea is to build a new server with sbs2003 on, new domain etc, go and install this, bring back their current server, do a fresh install of sbs, then do a swing migration back to the original
