Does anyone know the recommended limits for storing Cisco switches and routers in a stack when not in use?

When you say stack I assume you mean powered off and not in use?

We have alot of spare / decommissioned Cisco kit where I work, its all basically just left in a build room (in no particular fashion) and gbic's removed
