Starting 70-291 again...

Yet again I'm starting this exam, hopefully for the last time.

I picked up the Microsoft press book, but am finding it VERY hard getting back into it. Having read the first half some time back, I always find it hard to concentrate.

Would anyone suggest trying the sybex for content, or is the Microsoft the way to go?

I used MS Press and Sybex.. i would suggest you look at WSUS on the MS site in GREEEEAT detail because it wont be covered in your book if you not using the MS Press 2nd edition. I also started twice and in total spent nearly 6 months studying for it.. you need to break it down into parts and make sure you digest them properly. To me the DNS and DHCP were the easiest parts out of the exam which is in the first half of the book...

I found MS Press to be the best material for this exam.

Not sure if it's any consolation but this was the hardest MS exam I've ever done. The questions are particularly complicated and time consuming - I almost ran out of time.

You definitely need to have lots of hands-on experience for this one.

I am studying for 70-293 now and all those authentication protocols are coming back to haunt me !

I am studying for the 70-291 and is very hard.
I am using the MS book and i find it great.
I am reading very well every single page, trying to understand.
When i do not understand an option or a concept a spend all the time i need over it before to go on.
Sometimes i am able to do just four pages in two hours, but at the some times all the four pages are in my head.
Of course for me is harder because english is not my first language,
i ask sometimes to my irish wife. She speak english but does not understand IT.
Anyway i have to say that Ms books are very clear, i had a wee go
with Sybex and i have found very hadr to understand
